    成為大陸女桌史上第5位大滿貫得主，丁寧金牌戰中一度肩膀出現不適，然而這一金她等了4年。倫奧同樣面對李曉霞，丁寧因發球遭裁判罰分，最終屈居銀牌和大滿貫擦肩，里約奧運總算圓夢，她賽後激動落淚，「倫奧我累積經驗，賽前我只告訴自己要為了夢想努力到最後，這一刻，一切盡在不言中。」

    最大贏家莫過於大陸，里約奧運前曾表態退役的李曉霞，可能是生涯告別秀仍替大陸摘銀，大陸桌球女單金包銀，進帳本屆賽會第10金，且在奧運桌球女單締造8連霸霸業。
